Greenish Warbler
Phylloscopus trochiloides

Habitat: Scrub, gardens, forest.
Size: Smaller than a sparrow.
Distribution: Winters commonly in the terai belt, wooded parts of Peninsula and common as far east as W Meghalaya.
Identification: Looks a lot like the Large-billed Leaf Warbler (Phylloscopus magnirostris) and is best distinguished from it by the call – a chis-weet for the Greenish (versus a loud dir-tee for the Large-billed). Physically the Large-billed is larger, has a larger and darker bill, mottling on the cheeks and breast, and a more ‘wavy’ eyebrow than the Greenish. Greenish is mostly canopy dwelling; Large-billed is mid-storey.
