Size: About that of a Pariah Kite.
Distribution: Widespread winter visitor to the plains.
Identification: In flight the long narrow wings are held crooked like a gull. Distant hovering bird could also be mistaken for Short-toed eagle (Circaetus gallicus); look for dark carpal patches that the Short-toed eagle lacks.
