Verditer Flycatcher
Eumyias thalassinus

Habitat: Open forests, tall trees in open, cleared forest or forest edges.
Size: About that of a sparrow.
Distribution: Widespread across India except for the dry regions of Rajasthan.
Identification: The pale turquoise coloration is mostly sufficient to identify the males. The females may be confused with the Nilgiri (Eumyias albicaudatus) and should be differentiated by the dull blue (versus brown) wings. The female can also potentially be confused with the male of the Pale Blue (Cyornis unicolor) but lacks the stronger contrast between the light belly and darker upperparts.
