25 Feb 2009. MigrantWatch has moved to a new web address: http://www.migrantwatch.in. Our contact email address is now mw@migrantwatch.in.

As of 22 Dec 2008, there were 1,889 first sightings of 171 migrant species from the 2008/09 season, contributed by 188 participants from 24 States. The greatest number of sightings (106) have been of Grey Wagtail, followed by Greenish Warbler (87), Barn Swallow (83) and Common Sandpiper (74). Register and log in to see them all!

MigrantWatch 2008/09 kicks off with a redesigned website, a new login and data entry system and an expanded list of species. The number of species being tracked has increased from nine last year to all winter migrants. To help those starting out, we have put together a highlighted list of 30 common, widespread and easy-to-identify migrants.
